Letter topics:

  1. BLM Carson City office is out of control. The Pine Nuts Mtns. have no problems that can't be solved by education and infrastructure improvements.  Closing the Pine Nuts via a "trails closed unless specifically open" policy is counterproductive.
  2. The Pine Nut Mtns. are important to the residents and the economy.  Denying public access will hurt businesses and the quality of life in the valley.
  3. The Ruhenstroth area closure was handled very poorly.  The listed reason of protecting fossils lacks solid scientific basis and relevant information is still not being disclosed to the public in violation of the freedom of information act.
  4. And thank Jim Gibbons for his support.  He's been very active in supporting public access in this.
